Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the efficient intervention by suggesting the guardian education about the resistance training using thera-band on trunk extension strengthening exercise of stroke patients.

Methode: The exercises were performed 30 min a day, 5 times per week for 4 weeks through the guardian education for trunk extension strengthening exercise. The objectives of study were 4 stroke patients who were treating by neurodevelopmental treatment once a day. The assessments were measured by the spinal mouse, TIS, and PASS before and after each treatment.

Results: The results showed that the thoracic kyphotic angles on each spinal segment were decreasing on standing and sitting position after the trunk extension strengthening exercise, whereas the lumbar lordotic angles were increasing. The total score of static dynamic balance and coordination on sitting position by TIS measurement improved 1 point from 13 to 14 point on before and after the trunk extension strengthening exercise. The total score of ability of maintaining and changing the posture of PASS improved 0.5 point from 29.75 to 30.25 on before and after the trunk extension strengthening exercise.

Conclusion: This study gives to investigate more about the effects on sitting position by trunk extension strengthening exercise through extending more objectives including experimental and control groups.
